Packaging Prototyping & Comprehensive Packages

Packaging prototypes, prototyping, mock-ups or comprehensives are cost effective tools that allow a product manufacturer, agency or designer the ability to produce cost effective, low quantities of actual box prototypes fast and easy.

Packaging prototypes or presentation boxes can be printed directly on varying weights of SBS Cardboard, fluted corrugated cardboard, specialty stocks like metallic and holographic foils or even clear plastic films.

Abstract Image Group takes all the guesswork, what ifs out of your packing design. These one off boxes, comprehensives can tell you if the die-line fits, practicality of the package, how multiple products stack on a display and even if the box material can hold the weight of the product.

The Process Is Simple

  1. Pick your box stock: SBS Cardboard, fluted corrugated cardboard, specialty stocks like coroplast, metallic, holographic or foil board.
  2. Using our UV large format flatbed printing technology, we print directly onto the box material. With the use of our white ink capabilities Abstract Image can keep your colors popping even if we print on a colored stock or foil material.
  3. Place the printed sheet on our flatbed cutter and we can blind cut and crease the box into shape. All cutting and creasing is done on the back of the material so that we do not mar the ink on the face of the board.

Laminations, coatings and window films can be added to complete the box design.

That is as simple as it gets. Low quantity, high quality, production boxes without having to have dies made or hand creating mock-ups. You need 10-30 pieces to fill a gondola display, not a problem they all come out the same
